Back soon

First of all, thank you for supporting our show this year as an act or audience. After a superb final show we're wrapping up for the year.

The venue is going for refurbishment in early 2014 and when we know the work will be completed, we shall let you know about new dates as soon as we can.

Again, thank you for your support and we hope to be back on really soon.

Profile: Sebastian Bloomfield

Seb Bloomfield is a stand-up comedian, writer, gig promoter, film maker and all-round human being based in York.

With his dark, cynical and often twisted musings on the failings of himself and humanity, Seb offers an alternative view to life that still manages to delight and enthrall with his dry wit, sharp mind and caustic delivery. He is also an able compere, keeping the energy of the room high with his improvisational skills and fund of keen gags.

"Unusual and clever... a taste far more mature than you would expect."

Harry Bentley - The Wild Bunch

Starting comedy in 2009 at the tender age of twenty-three, Seb very quickly got into his stride, performing and compering at various shows throughout York. Realising the gap in the market for up and coming acts, he started Can't Sing, Can't Dance, Don't Care along with fellow comedian Adam Benericetti in September of that year, taking on the mentorship and promotion of new comedians just six months after he himself had started.

With the group going from strength to strength and the accolades rolling in, Seb concentrated his efforts in moving further afield. He has performed both open and paid spots to the delight of audiences at comedy nights throughout the north of England, including the regionals for So You Think You're Funny! and Funny Bones Comedy Club in Darlington, and done over fifty gigs within York itself, most as headliner or compere.

Seb has since shared the stage with such high-calibre acts as Andrew Ryan, George Cottier, Danny Deegan, James Christopher, Richard Massara, Paul Savage and Demetris Deech. Through Can't Sing, Can't Dance, Don't Care, he continues to champion new talent with the intention of keeping the comedy scene vibrant, varied and fresh.

His comedy influences include Dylan Moran, Jack Dee, Lee Mack, Sean Lock, Simon Amstell, Mark Lamarr, Barry Cryer, Jimmy Carr, Rich Hall, Frankie Boyle, Al Murray and many others.
